Tempted Irish Cider

Once there was a man named Davy who made the best cider you will ever taste.

Tempted was established by Davy Uprichard and his family back in 2009. His purpose-built Cidery is located at his home just outside Lisburn and it was here where he started pressing apples. Davy produced his first cider in 2010, using skills he learned while making wine with his father, Jim, many years before.

Two years later, he won the Gold Award in the Cider Category at the National Irish Food Awards for his Strawberry Cider! Davy has picked up a National Award every year since then, for each style he has presented to be judged. And so, Tempted Cider was born and has become Ireland’s Most Awarded Cider.

Making good cider starts with selecting good apples under the watchful eye of one of the world's best cider-making families. The family run cidery sources dessert and Bramley apples from the very land that they produce on in Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland.

Armagh Bramleys have been given Protected Geographical Indication status by the EU for their unique sharp clean taste and the Uprichards also source special cider apple varieties from Co.Tipperary in the South of Ireland. Only the best quality Irish apples get the opportunity to be in a bottle of Tempted.
